Bulgarian superstar Grigor Dimitrov will be determined to impress once again at the Rolex Paris Masters.

The 29-year-old player is ranked 20th in the world and he reached a career-high ATP world number three singles ranking in November 2017.

Considered to be the most successful Bulgarian male tennis player to date, Dimitrov is looking to become the first Bulgarian player to win the Paris Masters title.

Dimitrov is also the first (and only) Bulgarian male tennis player to win an ATP title in singles (after he won in October 2013 at Stockholm).

The Haskovo-born player is also the first Bulgarian to qualify for, and later win, the ATP Finals and he has won eight ATP singles titles to date.

Dimitrov opened about how he felt after testing positive for Covid-19 and he revealed what he plans to achieve in the remaining tournaments in 2020.

“[Covid] hits everyone differently. I can only speak for myself. It took a little bit of time,” said Dimitrov.

“One of the toughest things was losing a lot of kilos. I didn’t have much to lose, anyway (laughs).

"My main priority is my body. I just want to make sure heading into the off season that I’m 1,000 percent ready to push through, again, and to load myself up for 2021," he added.

“Right now, we’re taking it one day at a time and trying to make the most out of practice and the matches.”
