Chelsea will be searching for their third successive
Premier League win over Everton on home soil when the two teams do battle at Stamford Bridge on On December 16.
The Blues have only ever lost once to the Toffees in London since the formation of the Premier League in 1992 - the visitors having triumphed by a single goal to nil in November 1994.
The Merseysiders were victorious in the capital more recently when they beat the west Londoners 4-3 on penalties in the FA Cup fourth round after a 1-1 draw in February 2011.
Everton have had more success on their own patch, winning six of their last 10 top-flight meetings at Goodison Park, drawing one and losing three.
Chelsea won 2-0 in the corresponding fixture last term, with Everton having emerged 1-0 victors in their backyard.

Blues head coach Thomas Tuchel wants his players to keep their performance levels up during the hectic festive period, despite the games coming thick and fast heading into the New Year.
"We are talking about work, we talking about speed, we are talking about physical input," he said. "It is very difficult to come to this kind of level where we have pushed ourselves, it's maybe even harder to stay there.
"It is now the next step for all of us to stay on this level, to be relentless, and to not try to escape with 95 per cent or 90 per cent."
Demarai Gray has enjoyed a fine debut season on Merseyside since his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen, and Everton boss Rafael Benitez is hoping the winger can deliver the goods against the European champions.

"I knew about his quality and potential for a while and was following him," said Benitez. "Sometimes, it is the right moment with the manager [that releases player's potential].
"I trusted him and he trusted me and he is playing at a good level. I am always telling him to carry on working as hard as he is and be more consistent.
"If he can do those things, he is a potential player for the England team. With his quality and ability, he can be a really good player for us and the national team."
