Club Brugge will battle with Real Madrid in a Group A match in the
2019/20 UEFA Champions League at the Jan Breydelstadion on Wednesday.
The Belgian champions drew 1-1 with Turkish champions Galatasaray in their previous Group A game which was played in Turkey on November 26.
The draw left Brugge placed third on the group standings having accumulated three points from five matches.
Meanwhile, Real were held to a 2-2 draw by French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) at home in their previous which was played in Spain on November 26.
The draw left the former Spanish champions second on the group standings having collected eight points from five matches.
Zinedine Zidane, the Real manager, feels that his side is still a work in progress despite having reached the knockout phase after their draw with PSG.
“We're working brilliantly and making progress. The players are the same now as they were before, we just had to be patient," Zidane said.

“It doesn't matter. The important thing was to qualify and we've done that. We put in a great performance despite already having qualified."
The last competitive meeting between Brugge and Real was on the 1st of October 2019.
Brugge held Real to a 2-2 stalemate in a match which was played at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
