The 2019 3M Open will take place at the TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota, U.S.A between 4 and 8 July.
The competition is a new professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour and Minnesota-based company 3M will be the title sponsor of the event.
It succeeds the 3M Championship, a PGA Tour Champions event for 26 years (1993–2018), held at TPC Twin Cities since 2001.
The tournament field is headlined by Brooks Koepka, Jason Day and Hideki Matsuyama.
American golfer Koepka is the favourite to win the competition having become world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking after winning the 2018 CJ Cup.
Former world number one Day, who hails from Australia, will be looking to win his first tournament in 2019.
While former world number two and Japanese golfer Matsuyama is a five-time PGA Tour winner and he will be targeting his sixth title.
The 2019 3M Open offers a $6.4 million purse with a winner's share of $1.152 million.
