The Norwegian star shot a final round course-record 61 to win the 2023 BMW Championship in Chicago, Illinois, USA over the weekend.
His scorecard for the final round featured twelve threes and this was the second event in the 2023 FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Why Hovland is one of the favourites
The 25-year-old is oozing confidence coming into the Tour Championship after winning the BMW Championship as he looks to make it back-to-back wins.
Hovland made 10 birdies and one bogey for a course-record 61 – including a 7-under-par 28 on the back nine – and a come-from-behind, two-shot victory over Scottie Scheffler (66) and Matt Fitpatrick (66) at the BMW Championship.
The Oklahoma-based golfer will be eager to display that form at the East Lake Golf Club where he has a starting score of 8-under.
