2022/23 English Premier League
Matchday 2
Liverpool v Crystal Palace
Anfield
Liverpool, England
Monday, 15 August 2022
Kick-off is at 19h00
Liverpool will look to get their title challenge up and running when they welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield in the
Premier League on Monday, August 15.
Jurgen Klopp's side claimed their first trophy of the 2022/23 campaign when they beat Manchester City 3-1 in the Community Shield on July 30.
But they only managed to pick up a point on the opening weekend of the new league season after being held to a 2-2 draw by newly-promoted Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Klopp revealed his frustration with the performance of his players in the capital, admitting the Reds lacked their usual cutting edge against the Cottagers.
"That's not us today, it was not us today," the German said. "I don't want to take anything away from Fulham, they did really well, but to be 100 per cent honest, we were in front of the goal and should've scored, so that's the truth as well.
"We played a really bad game and get a point, so that's all a truth as well. But playing the way we played is not how we should play and that's why my frustration about that is pretty high."
The Eagles kicked off proceedings with a 2-0 defeat to London rivals Arsenal at Selhurst Park on August 5 in what was a clinical display in front of goal for the visitors.
It doesn't get any better for the South Londoners as they must attempt to overturn a 10-match losing streak to the Merseyside giants in the league stretching back to August 2017.

Palace manager Patrick Vieira conceded they were punished for not taking the chances that came their way and urged his players to adopt a more positive approach in games.
"Of course I'm disappointed, because I thought we could score a couple of goals today even though we didn't create very much, but they took their chances and we didn't," the Frenchman told Sky Sports.
"But football is about trying to score goals. We were playing against a good side. We had chances in both halves and we didn't take it - in the game you get punished really hard.
"We have to be positive, because both teams didn't create a lot of chances. Again, if you want to win football matches you have to score goals, and if you play against those teams you might not create a lot. The small chances you create, you have to score goals."
