Getafe CF will lock horns with Atletico Madrid in a
Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos on August 15.
The Deep Blues ended their 2021-22 league campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Elche CF away in a game which was played on May 22.
As a result, Getafe are winless in their last five matches in La Liga having recorded one defeat and four successive draws.
The Deep Blues are also winless in their four home matches in this competition having registered three consecutive draws and one defeat as the hosts.
Meanwhile, Atletico claimed a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad away in their final game of the 2021-22 league season a match which took place on May 22.

The last meeting between Getafe and Atletico in the league was on 12 February 2022.
Atletico overcame Getafe in a seven-goal thriller as they won 4-3 in a match which was played at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
