Frank Lampard is set for a baptism of fire as Chelsea manager, as he takes his team to Old Trafford for an
English Premier League clash against Manchester United on Sunday 11 August 2019, kick-off at 15:30 CAT.
Chelsea brought Lampard on board several weeks ago following the departure of Maurizio Sarri to Juventus, and the club legend has been warmly welcomed by the Blues faithful.
However, the former England international has a tough job on his hands: Chelsea lost key man Eden Hazard to real Madrid in the offseason, and a transfer ban imposed by FIFA means they have been unable to buy a readymade replacement or strengthen their squad (other than bringing back loan players).

Man United also come into the new season under a cloud, with the balance of their squad in doubt and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under pressure to bring the glory days back to Old Trafford – something that seems beyond his means if we are to use the Red Devils’ finish to last season as a yard stick.
Nonetheless, United will hope the likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and speed demon Daniel James bring energy to their attack, as they look to claim the major scalp of Chelsea to lay down a marker for the new campaign.
