Atalanta will lock horns with Valencia in the
UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg clash at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday.
The Italian side advanced to the knockout stages after finishing second in Group C behind English champions Manchester City.
They have been inconsistent at home the in the tournament having registered one draw, one win and one defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Atalanta are making their debut appearance in the Champions League and they are hoping to go all the way and clinch their first trophy this season.
Meanwhile, Valencia advanced to the Round of 16 after finishing at the top of Group H ahead of former English champions Chelsea.

The Spanish side are undefeated on the road in this season's competition having registered one draw and two wins over Chelsea and Ajax Amsterdam.
They have finished as runners-up in the Champions League twice and they are looking to finally clinch the trophy this season.
Albert Celades, Valencia coach, is wary of Atalanta, who have dangerous attackers like Luis Muriel and Papu Gomez.
“We will have to learn more about them, but they are a very physical squad, with great offensive potential," Celades said.
“They play with three central defenders and have attacker of a good level like Luis Muriel and Papu Gomez. We will see how we arrive at those games.”
This will be the first-ever meeting between Atalanta and Valencia in a competitive match.
