Ferrari's Charles Leclerc is hoping to pose a stronger challenge to Red Bull at the
Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday, April 21.
The Monegasque is the best-placed non-Red Bull driver in the standings after four races as he trails Sergio Perez by five points and sits a further 13 adrift of leader Max Verstappen.
Leclerc has two podium finishes this year after claiming P3 in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and P2 in the Australian Grand Prix, which was won by team-mate Carlos Sainz Jr. for Ferrari's first one-two since the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix.

The 26-year-old was beaten to the final podium by Sainz Jr. in the Japanese Grand Prix and is just four points ahead of the Spaniard, who withdrew from the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix due to appendicitis.
Leclerc revealed that the Prancing Horse is looking to accelerate upgrades to the SF-24 in a bid to close the gap to their main rival, with the first substantial package potentially arriving at Imola next month.

"I don't think I can say when we will bring the upgrades," he said. "However, what I can say is that it changes also based on what we try in the wind tunnel. And obviously as well we are trying to squeeze as much as possible the times to produce those parts for it to be as early as possible in the season.
"Obviously, every race we gain, that's a potential point that we are gaining as well. So we are pushing to have them as early as possible in the season. When? I cannot answer."
