2021/22 English Premier League
Matchday 32
Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur
Villa Park
Birmingham, England
Saturday, 9 April 2022
Kick-off is at 18h30
Tottenham will look to keep the momentum going when they make the journey north-west to play Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday, April 9.
Spurs have emerged as a serious top-four contender in the
Premier League after picking up four wins from their last five games.
The 5-1 hammering of Newcastle in the capital on Sunday made it three victories on the spin for Antonio Conte's side, who leapfrogged arch-rivals Arsenal into fourth place ahead of their derby encounter with Crystal Palace on Monday.

Conte was delighted with the reaction he got from his players after going behind to the Magpies and says it bodes well for their run-in to the season.
"I have seen great focus, great concentration. I enjoyed watching the game, enjoyed watching my team play in this way, despite the difficulty that we found against Newcastle, especially in the first half, where their tactical plan was to stay deep and close every space, and we were 1-0 down," he said.

"Despite this, I have seen a good reaction, great solidity and mentality. This is very important. It means my players have the confidence and the feeling now is positive, very good, because you can see the way we're playing, the goals we're scoring, the chances we're creating."
Villa are in danger of dropping into the bottom half of the table after losing their last three matches to allow Leicester to leapfrog them into ninth place.

The West Midlands giants suffered a 2-1 derby defeat to Wolves at Molineux on the weekend and Villans head coach Steve Gerrard expressed his disappointment at their first-half display, which saw the hosts take a two-goal lead.
"In hindsight now, you're full of regret because you realise that if you put a 90-minute performance in and you approach the first half like you did the second half, I think there was definitely a result there for us," Gerrard said.
"I didn't see a big gap in quality, first half I did because we weren't good enough. Second half, when we come into the game and showed the real Aston Villa, I don't think there wasn't anything in the game, arguably we probably edged it."
