The Denver Nuggets will attempt to firm their grip on sixth place in the Western Conference when the Memphis Grizzlies arrive at the Ball Arena on the morning of Friday, April 8.
The Nuggets have just two games left to clinch the final
playoff spot in the West and they edge the Minnesota Timberwolves by a 0.025 win percentage in the standings.

Nikola Jokic's 41 points was not enough to prevent a 116-97 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs in Colorado on Wednesday as they failed to take advantage of the Timberwolves' slip-up against the Washington Wizards.

"We wasted a golden opportunity," Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said. "I just didn't think we had the requisite focus, determination, urgency, desperation - whatever adjective you want to use. I just didn't think we had it tonight."
The Grizzlies look to have second position wrapped up in the Western Conference thanks to a 55-24 record and a far superior win percentage to the Golden State Warriors.

Wednesday's 121-115 loss in overtime to the Utah Jazz on the road halted a seven-game winning streak for Taylor Jenkins' team, although Jaren Jackson Jr kept them in the contest with 28 points.
"For the most part, I thought our guys did a really good job against the No. 1 offense in the league. We held our own," Jenkins said.
