Wyndham Clark will be keen to become the first golfer to win back-to-back
US Open titles since Brooks Koepka won the event in 2017 and 2018.
What to know about Clark
The American golfer turned professional in 2017 having won the winning the Pac-12 conference championship and GolfWeek Player of the Year as an amateur.
Clark won the Wells Fargo Championship for his first PGA Tour win in May 2023; the following month, he won his first major, the US Open.

The former Oklahoma State University and University of Oregon student was in action at the recent 2024 Memorial Tournament where he failed to make the cut.
Clark is currently placed fourth in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is third place.
Why Clark is among the favourites
The 30-year-old carded an even-par final round of 70 to win the 2023 US Open at the Los Angeles Country Club, beating Rory McIlroy by one stroke and collecting $3.6 million with the win.
The current 2024 PGA Tour season has seen Clark win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am by one stroke over Ludvig Åberg in February and he is now targeting his second victory of the campaign.

"I haven't been playing my best golf. It's been kind of a tough stretch these last few weeks," Clark said ahead of the 2024 US Open.
"I'd really like to hit some good shots, have some really good up and downs, make some key putts throughout the week, and play four solid rounds. That's really what I'd love to do."
