2024 Sentry Tournament of Champions is set to place in Kapalua, Hawaii between 4 and 7 January 2024
What to know about the tournament
Played in Hawaii on the island of Maui, the Sentry Tournament of Champions was founded in 1953 and it is part of the PGA Tour.
For most of its history, the field was restricted to golfers who won a competition on the tour during the previous calendar year.
However, players who qualified for the preceding Tour Championship are now invited as well and it will be the first event in the 2024 PGA Tour schedule.

The PGA Tour and Sentry Insurance, which has served as title sponsor of the tournament, have announced a sponsorship extension through 2035.
The 2024 Sentry Tournament of Champions boasts a 59-player field comprised of all PGA Tour winners in 2023 and the top 50 finishers in the FedExCup.
Favourites
Players who are in the top five in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) will be present at the Plantation Course, namely, Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, and Patrick Cantlay.
Former champions Jordan Spieth, Xander Schauffele and Harris English will also be part of the 59-player field at the 2024 Sentry Tournament of Champions.
However, the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions winner Jon Rahm is set to miss this year's tournament after he made a $600 million switch to LIV Golf.
What Is At Stake
The 2024 Sentry Tournament of Champions winner will earn 700 FedEx Cup points along with an increased prize purse.
The tournament boasts a purse of $20 million and the winner of the event will earn their share of $3,6 million, while also receiving a 35-pound trophy.
