The Baggies head into back-to-back home games against Leeds United and Arsenal following a morale boosting 1-1 draw away to champions Liverpool. While West Brom remained in 19th place on the log standings, the result could go a long way in defining their season before a crucial run of fixtures.
"It was superb today and we came out with a precious point for us," West Brom manager Sam Allardyce, who has managed 11 clubs without ever getting relegated, told the BBC.
"There is a lot of defending you have to do against a quality team with a fantastic home record. To the man, we frustrated Liverpool as much as we could. We had to take the sting out of them in the first half.
"Liverpool always take the game to you. People will say we are lucky but that was a good application from the players and they took their opportunity at the other end."
Arsenal travel to Brighton and then the West Midlands on the back of a 3-1 win over Chelsea on Boxing Day, as they ended their winless run in the league to ease their own relegation fears.
"It doesn't get any better than winning a London derby against Chelsea on Boxing Day," Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said. "Hopefully this is a turning point. I know they can play at this level.
"Let's carry on. We still have big things to improve on."

This will be the first league meeting between the two teams since the 2017-18 season. Arsenal took four points off the Baggies that season, following a 2-0 win at Emirates Stadium with a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture.
