AS Roma will go head to head with Spezia Calcio in an Italian
Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico on December 13.

“Inter are a better side in normal conditions. When conditions aren’t normal, then they are much better than us. And ultimately it really is that simple," Roma manager Jose Mourinho said.
“In normal conditions, last season they finished 29 points clear of us in the league and today, between Covid, injuries and suspensions, our selection options were very, very limited.
“With basically a very limited attacking threat out there it was going to be important to score with the one, two or three chances we were going to have – because we surely weren’t going to get many more than that."

Meanwhile, Spezia held US Sassuolo to a 2-2 draw at home in their previous league match which was played on December 5.
As a result, the Little Eagles are winless in their last four matches in this competition having registered three successive defeats and one draw.
Spezia are winless in their last five matches on the road in Serie A having recorded five consecutive defeats.
The last meeting between Roma and Spezia in a league game was on 23 May 2021.
The two teams played to a 2-2 draw in a match that was played at Spezia's home ground, Stadio Alberto Picco.
