The
2023 Spanish Grand Prix or Gran Premio MotoGP Guru by Gryfyn de España will be staged in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain on April 30.
What to know about the Spanish GP
This race was established in 1950 and it was held at the Montjuïc circuit in Barcelona until 1955 before moving to Circuito del Jarama in Madrid.
Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto is the current home of the Spanish MotoGP and it is due to host three Grands Prix in 2022, 2023 and 2025.

The American MotoGP or Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas MotoGP which was the third event of the 2023 MotoGP season took place on April 16 and it was won by Alex Rins of Honda.
Luca Marini of Ducati and Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo finished second and third respectively at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, USA.
Standings
Ducati's Marco Bezzecchi, who finished sixth at the American MotoGP, is still placed at the top of riders' standings followed by his Ducati teammate Francesco Bagnaia and Rins respectively.
Looking at the constructors' standings, Ducati are placed at the top - followed by Honda and Aprilia respectively with 18 races left.
News
Eight-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez of Honda is expected to miss the Spanish MotoGP having undergone surgery to repair the broken first metacarpal in his right hand.
However, three-time MotoGP championship runner-up Dani Pedrosa will make a surprise return to racing for KTM at the Spanish Grand Prix, in only his second wildcard appearance since joining the Austrian firm as its test rider in 2019.
Favourites
Reigning MotoGP world champion Bagnaia will be determined to retain his Spanish MotoGP crown, but he will face stiff competition from Rins and Bezzecchi.
On the other hand, 2022 Spanish MotoGP runner-up Quartararo will be keen to record his maiden win of the season.

"I'm looking forward to it because all the fans will be there in Jerez, but also with a bit of uncertainty due to the fact that I haven't raced for a long time," Pedrosa told Marca ahead of the Spanish MotoGP.
"In recent years, the competition has evolved a lot. Technologically, with aerodynamics, lap times are much faster. The competition is very strong and the lap times are very tight.
"We will see how we approach the Grand Prix. We have a number of tests to do and we have to compete at the same time."
