Les Bleus suffered an agonising 2-1 loss away to Sweden on Friday. Having claimed the lead through Olivier Giroud, Didier Deschamps’ team conceded goals to Jimmy Durmaz and Ola Toivonen (in the fourth minute of injury time) to suffer their first defeat in Group A. They have been usurped at the top of the standings (on goal difference) by the Swedes.

England are still on top of Group F, but their lead has been cut to two points after they were held 2-2 by Scotland in Glasgow on Saturday. All four goals arrived after the 70 minute mark, with the Three Lions needing a last-gasp equaliser from Harry Kane to salvage the draw.
This will be the 31
st official international match between France and England, with the latter having claimed 17 wins compared to 8 for the former. The Three Lions have outscored their rivals from ‘across the pond’ by 69 goals to 36.
The teams last met in a friendly in November 2015, with England claiming a 2-0 home win thanks to goals from Dele Alli and Wayne Rooney.
